IN-PATIENT CARE AT THE BEAUMONT HOSPITALS

• At the Beaumont hospitals, the overwhelming majority of Primary Care Physicians (PCP’s), including us, work with Hospitalists to admit patients that require hospital care.
• Hospitalists are a relatively new specialty that was created to improve the process of admitting and caring for hospitalized patients.
• They are at the hospital all day long and therefore can be more responsive to patients than the doctor that “rounds” in the morning but then spends his / her day at the office.
• The hospitalists that PMG partners with are in close contact with our providers so that we work as a team to care for you whether you are at home, in our office or in the hospital.
