Preferred Medical Group is an independent division of Michigan Healthcare Professionals®, PC (MHP). Our doctors and staff are honored that you have chosen our practice to care for you and your family. Our goal is reflected in our mission statement: to provide “Compassionate Care for All Ages”. We feel this sums up what our practice is all about. PMG currently has nine health care providers and a total staff of thirty-one.

Our principal physicians all trained at Beaumont® and all of our doctors are Beaumont affiliated. Dr. Weisman co-founded both Beaumont® physician organizations and served as chairman of the board and medical director for the Beaumont Physician Organization (BPO).

We are proud to have been the first to bring you many innovations in the past both clinical and technological in nature. We were one of the very first practices in the United States to adopt a full Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. We are also a pioneer practice as a Patient Centered Medical Home. We continue in this tradition in implementing the vaunted AthenaOne EHR—a truly state of the art full spectrum highly integrated IT system that “integrates” with most the nations labs, imaging centers, hospital systems and medical facilities in a way no other system does. We are also proud that four years running PMG has been awarded the Governor’s Award of Excellence in health care. This coveted honor is only awarded to a select few groups throughout the state.

As part of the 500 doctors in Michigan Healthcare Professionals, PC we join a national trend of independent physicians unifying into large groups. As an integrated practice we share information technologies, state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, labs, and specialties to coordinate patient care in the most efficient and modern way. Speaking of coordination, we maximize our technology to ensure that we are in regular contact with your other health care providers. We communicate with your other providers regularly because we believe this to be an essential component of modern integrated health care.
